This course is a general overview of physical, political, cultural, and economic geography. We will discuss and evaluate the 5 Themes of Geography throughout the course. You will be required to learn physical and political features of the earth including countries, continents, oceans, mountains, and many other unique and general features.
This course also focuses on themes and regional and/or global issues for the continents we will be covering rather than in depth study of each country. We will address many issues and struggles that face the world today.
You will receive up to half credit for assignments not turned in when they are
collected. This will extend up to the end of the next unit. At that point the
grade will be a zero perminently. This applies to daily work assignments and
not to projects.
For projects a letter grade will be deducted each day it is late.
Cheating of any kind will result in a zero
Cellular Phones, Ipods, calculator games, and game machines- will not be allowed and if I hear or see them they will be taken to the office.
