Geography Standards
Standard #2- Understand how physical and human characteristics create and define regions
Standard #3- Understand how human factors and the distribution of resources affect the development of society and the movement of populations
Standard #6- Understand how culture affects the interaction of human populations through time and space
Directions: Each student will keep their own Geography Scrapbook over the entire semester. This will consist of current events topics from local to global that relate to geography.
* You may choose a format for your scrapbook- google presentation, webpage, physical book, google site, Haiku Deck, or another method approved by the teacher. You need to maintain this format for the entire semester.
* Each week you need to have 1 topic to focus on and complete the basic requirements that can be found on the attached handout. Then incorporate the requirements from the hand out into your scrapbook along with pictures or multimedia and links for more information. You will also need to make your scrapbook reader friendly and pleasant to look at. Be proud of your product and make sure that you can show your learning.
* You will be handing it in for a progress grade at the end of the first quarter of the semester, then for a final grade at the end of the second quarter of the semester.
